A brand-new American talk show is coming to African audiences with Wendy Williams of The Wendy Williams Show coming to BET (HiTV channel 23, DStv channel 116 and Star TV) from July.
BET Networks that runs BET has acquired the second season of the The Wendy Williams Show after showing the first season on BET in America already, and has now also agreed to show the brash and bold talk show host on its international BET channels.
''Wendy has been an important element in the network's success this year and we are thrilled to have her talk show back for a second season,'' says Barbara Zaneri, BET Networks' executive vice president of program strategy, scheduling and acquisitions. ''We also believe Wendy's universal appeal will translate to all corners of the world, making her a key player for BET's international networks as well.''
Michael Armstrong, senior vice president and general manager of BET International says the addition of The Wendy Williams show to BET's international weekday line-up further positions BET as one of the best entertainment TV channels available. ''Wendy Williams has the uncanny ability to make both her guests and viewers feel like they've known her all their lives.''
